My mouth watered as the smell of real cheese, fresh vegetables, and sauce wafted in my direction. I looked down at my week old pizza which I delicately (and deliberately) stored in the freezer still looking fresh as ever. One bite and I was in heaven. After living in Italy for 10 weeks, visiting all the noteworthy pizza places in New york, Chicago, and New Jersey, I have to say...questo pizza e molto deliziosa.
And what an honor to be only 2 hours away from it...those of you who live closeby, take advantage of this gem. This is truly an "italian pizza" made with wheat crust and real cheese! A healthy alternative to the so called "pizza" places in this day and age. Parking is a bit tough but if I'm willing to drive 2 hours to pick up pizzas at this place, you all better be willing to spend 5 minutes looking for parking.
If you eat here, you must try the pepperoni and Italian sausage. They are truly amazing. I have had pizza from an array pizzeria's, mostly in and around the San Francisco bay area, and I can safetly say that Barone's is up there with the best. I got a tip from someone to leave the left overs in the fridge for a day or two and it tastes better. Though, I wouldn't consider the taste better (not worse either), but it is definitely different and worth a try.
I pick up on the way home and almost always get the Margherita Pizza which is fantastic. To the one guy that gives the terrible review i would say give it another chance. Someone else commented that the Sherman Oaks location had closed. I did not know there was one but the Barones at Oxnard/Woodman, Van Nuys is still operating.

I adopted my doggy from Pet Orphans of Southern California in Van Nuys and a bonus for adopting was a free large pizza courtesy of Barone's Pizza of Woodland Hills! Pet Orphans Rescue also said good things of Barone's mentioning they came by with yummy samples and being supportive of their non-profit humane shelter. Pretty sweet- I got the free pizza and that was a good move because I probably wouldn't have heard of this place otherwise since I don't live in Woodland Hills but since it was so good I will be going back for more! And the creme brûlée cheesecake and boneless chicken were yums as well! Thanks Barone's Pizza
I was dismayed when they closed the original Barone's in ShermanOaks - my favorite pizza place. Guess what - the new Barone's is just 5 blocks from my house. I love their pepperoni with bell pepper. I
always order my pizza to go. Small take out place. A bit pricey, but wellworth it to me. Street parking.
My long time friend took me here when i was on vacation. I missed pizza from back east, and this really hit the spot. I cannot stress to anyone enough the importance of a good crust and dough. The sauce and cheese were perfect too. Wish i could eat here more often. See more reviews on Google Places
I wish there was a Barone's Express closer to where I live. I am close to their fancier restaurant in Valley Village. The pizza here is as good as the ones they serve at their restaurants, except you can just buy a slice here! It's so much cheaper than going to the restaurant and you get the exact same quality. Their lunch specials are so awesome and they are available on weekends too. I highly recommend coming here for quality food on the cheap.

In my opinion, this is the best pizza I've ever had. You can't beat their lunch deals. You can get a huge slice of pizza, a salad and a soda for under $4. The fried ravioli is also a great choice. I'd seriously go here every day if I lived closer and didn't care about fitting into my pants.
Barone’s dough is made from the freshest and finest ingredients. It contains winter wheat enriched flour, unbleached and unbromated with wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin, mononitrate, riboflavin and folic acid. Our flour provides the least amount of Gluten content as well. Your health is important to us and we refuse to lower the quality of our food like so many of our competitors who use the cheapest all purpose bleached and unenriched flour.
